Use the browser version to play Ikariam on your phone. Searches for “Ikariam mobile” and “Ikariam download” often mix up two different things: the browser game and its old companion app. An installation file is not required to access the web game.
What happened to the Ikariam app?
In an official notice dated 12 February 2026, the team said mobile development had been abandoned years earlier and the companion app had been removed from stores. It also announced plans to end remaining access through an upcoming update and advised players to switch to the browser.
The notice itself does not provide a final cutoff date. An old installation still opening on a particular device therefore does not establish that the app remains maintained or compatible.
How to play on Android or iPhone
- Update your preferred browser.
- Open the official Ikariam lobby and sign in with your Gameforge account.
- Select the correct game account, community and world.
- Check that your cities and warnings load before sending important movements.
- Bookmark the official entry point for your next visit.
Changing devices does not mean you need a new game. If your existing cities do not appear, investigate account and world selection before starting again.
Make the interface easier to use
Try landscape orientation if a panel is cut off. Where your browser offers a desktop-site option, compare it with the normal presentation. These are browser troubleshooting steps, not a guarantee that every game window will fit every phone.
Before sending an army or spending premium currency, make the destination, quantity and confirmation visible. A small screen makes adjacent cities and compact input fields easier to misread.
