Use the official OGame lobby to sign in and select your game account. If an old bookmark takes you to a retired form or a universe you do not recognise, return to the official access route before entering credentials.
This guide addresses account selection and recovery. Seeing a different starting planet does not, by itself, establish that your old progress has been deleted.
Separate lobby, community and universe
The lobby is the entry point. The community identifies the regional or language environment. The universe is the server where your empire exists. Changing a page’s language does not automatically move progress between servers.
Before assuming an account is missing, confirm the email used to sign in and the game account selected. Old messages can help identify the universe or player name you remember.
A simple login sequence
- Open the official lobby and check the domain.
- Sign in with the identity linked to your progress.
- Locate the correct game account.
- Confirm community and universe before entering.
- Save a verified bookmark for future access.
Do not create another empire as a recovery technique. A new account cannot demonstrate what happened to an older one.
Forgotten password or email
Use the recovery option offered by the service itself. Check the intended mailbox and spam folder. If you have used several addresses, record which ones you have checked instead of repeating the same attempts.
If recovery does not resolve the problem, follow official support links. Prepare the universe, player identity, approximate history and a clear explanation. Do not send passwords or one-time codes to players offering informal help.
Returning after several years
Server names and account destinations may require checking merger announcements. A direct address you remember is not necessarily the current entry route.
Use your community forum to investigate the universe history, then use the lobby and support for account-specific questions. Distinguish what you know from what you only remember approximately.
Mobile progress does not appear on PC
The OGame team recommends linking mobile progress to a Gameforge account for web access. Review the app’s account settings and confirm the associated email before deleting or reinstalling it.
Test browser access while the original mobile session still works. This gives you a chance to identify a mismatch before losing the easiest way to inspect the account.
Identify where the failure occurs
| Observed problem | Useful detail for support |
|---|---|
| Cannot sign in to the lobby | Exact message and recovery steps attempted. |
| Lobby opens but account is missing | Expected community, universe and previous access method. |
| Account appears but universe fails to load | Universe, time and error shown after selecting it. |
| App and browser show different progress | Account-linking state and identities used. |
Check maintenance announcements before making unrelated changes. A failure affecting one universe is different from an inability to authenticate at all.
Pioneers uses a separate lobby
The Pioneers lobby serves the public test environment. Do not expect a normal game account to appear there simply because you can sign in to the live service.
Use the access and recovery flow shown by the intended environment. For test-server information, follow Origin’s current announcements.
Keep recovery practical
Record the universe, access method and verified account identity in a secure place you control. When asking for help, explain the exact step that fails and provide only the information needed for that channel. Clear observations are more useful than repeated guesses about which server address might work.
